Read MoreTamar is an elected official. In May 2014 Tamar ran for City Committeeperson in the 30th ward 10th division in the City of Philadelphia. This is a Democratic Party position, and was a contested race. Tamar won by a single vote, proving once again that every vote really does count.
In June 2014 the Democratic party of the 30th ward held their organizing meeting. Tamar was elected secretary of the 30th ward, under ward leader Marcia Wilkof.
