Tamar Fox is a writer, editor, content strategist, and project manager based in Philadelphia. She has gone hiking in Madagascar, found an abandoned synagogue in Suriname, and once got in a twitter fight with a British porn star about Holocaust films. Learn more about Tamar’s work on LinkedIn.
Tamar's writing has been published in the Washington Post, The Cut, the Jerusalem Post, and Lilith Magazine among many others. Her first book, No Baths at Camp, was published in 2013, and is a PJ Library selection. She was once featured in NYTimes Real Estate section for finding an apartment.
In 2014 Tamar was elected as a city committeeperson in the 30th ward of Philadelphia, and she was later elected secretary of the 30th ward Democratic party. She stepped down from the 30th ward when she began working for the City of Philadelphia.
Tamar enjoys the finer things in life: photographing her dog, cooking elaborate meals, urban cycling, urban beekeeping, reading voraciously, and practicing yoga.
